Revisit Music: Pop Love

Ballads and soul music are pleasing to listen to especially when you're in the mood for some alone time. But just for a change of scene, let's try getting in with the pop genre today.

Just a few hours ago I discovered another artist on Youtube who makes these incredible mash-ups. I have raved about my love for the works of Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider before, but they are in an entirely different score with this guy. If you've heard about "Pop Love", then you know who I'm talking about.

Robert Skouteris is a remix artist whose work could easily be mistaken for that of a club DJ's. Skouteris selects several pop music to integrate into his piece, each one he calls "music of the time". Agreeably enough, his remixes do reflect the music of the youth today. "The goal is to showcase the music of today. No rules", as he writes under the description of his  latest remix "Pop Love 2 (2013)". With a flare for music, Skouteris complements his musical work with an equally satisfying accompanying video. While the music contains a creative restructuring of several pop songs, the music video contains snippets of the music videos of each song he used, adding his own twist of flavor of course. He has been making these remixes since 2012 and has been posting his work on Soundcloud. Heard of it? If not, then here's your chance to check it out.

If you're the kind of person who loves listening to pop songs, but can't really wait to listen to your next favorite for another second, then his work is cut out for you. If you also love listening to a beat you can dance to, then you better get on his website and check out his work! Still not impressed? Check out the video below to satisfy your curiosity and satiate your craving for flavorful music. This is his second Pop Love remix, the first being the one he produced in 2012.

Better yet, check out his website for more of his music. And get this, you can download them for free! Yes, for free. Because he is the kind of person to literally want to spread his love for music, he posts all his work on Soundcloud.com with a download link. You can check out his website here

Happy listening!

Revisit Music: Kina Grannis and Sam Tsui

Do you remember the two young guys from Yale I blogged about previously? Well, they're on their way to being successful recording artists! Sam Tsui has officially released his first album, and as for Kurt Schneider, he continues to produce youtube artists most of whom have sensational possibilities.

I won't delay any further because as excited I am about their success, I am more excited by their collaboration with Kina Grannis, one of my other favorite youtube artists. I tell you you can really find good music from these people. You just have to know where to look. ;)

Here's one of the singles, with Kina Grannis, on Sam's new album:

Bring Me the Night

So just like Steve Jobs they made their own desires be the desire of others too. Who said you can't make your own dreams come true? :)

Revisit Music : A Medley to Remember

So lately I showed you this incredible sister tandem from YouTube who made spoofs, which in my opinion are more entertaining than anything else :). But now it's time to show you another great talent who is making it big in cyberspace.

We all know the story of Justin Bieber. This guy, though also making his fame from YouTube, I think is just son incredible that it's hard not to notice his sweet melodious voice along with his ability to make uncanny vocal arrangements. Oh and did I mention he's from Yale? Yes Yale. :)

Along with his friend and producer Kurt Schneider, they are bound to take the world of music into another level. I hope you appreciate his art as much as I do! a YouTube artist to watch out for, he's definitely someone you don't want to miss out on.

What separates his work from other artists I think are his medleys, which I think is his signature :) and I just love them love the love them! My favorite so far was his 2011 pop medley and his Michael Jackson tribute.

Listen in on his latest and see if you can escape the spell of his voice. Haha :))

SAM TSUI!!! :)

If you like that then I know you'll enjoy his entire work:)
Check out their Youtube channels at

Enjoy! :)

Revisit Music : A Tribute

Well hello to fans of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, not to mention One Direction! When it comes to pop music, let's face it, today's sounds are almost at the edge of musical revolution that the sound of these artists are starting to mesh into one. Sad to think about, but its true.

Which is why it's refreshing to hear that boybands are somehow making a comeback. Now I know what you're going to say, they too all sounded alike back when boybands were a thing. But the thing is, even though they did, their music is just something that's timeless :) Perhaps this is also what our parents would say about songs from their generation. Or maybe I'm just being too cryptic about it :)) Either way, I want to make a special shout out to One Direction for giving way to this revisit. This entry is not about them though, but it is a tribute:)

A tribute to the good ol' music of the boybands. A tribute to the lost sound of group ballads and rnb being revisited by today's artists.

And I found a perfect video :)
Boyzone and Westlife, singing together as a tribute to the late Stephen Gately of Boyzone.

Many might not know them today, but I sure still do:) Cheers to them!

Boyzone and Westlife- No Matter What

But of course not to leave you hanging, because they rekindled this special fancy I had for boybands, here's One Direction's Live While We're Young (single from their latest album)

And with that, this is my first entry to the Capsules of Revisit Music:) Hope you enjoyed listening to these songs and mostly, I hope you found a new appreciation for boybands, much like I've revived my fascination for the sound of Westlife :)

Thank you for listening in!
