Revisit Music: Pop Love

Ballads and soul music are pleasing to listen to especially when you're in the mood for some alone time. But just for a change of scene, let's try getting in with the pop genre today.

Just a few hours ago I discovered another artist on Youtube who makes these incredible mash-ups. I have raved about my love for the works of Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider before, but they are in an entirely different score with this guy. If you've heard about "Pop Love", then you know who I'm talking about.

Robert Skouteris is a remix artist whose work could easily be mistaken for that of a club DJ's. Skouteris selects several pop music to integrate into his piece, each one he calls "music of the time". Agreeably enough, his remixes do reflect the music of the youth today. "The goal is to showcase the music of today. No rules", as he writes under the description of his  latest remix "Pop Love 2 (2013)". With a flare for music, Skouteris complements his musical work with an equally satisfying accompanying video. While the music contains a creative restructuring of several pop songs, the music video contains snippets of the music videos of each song he used, adding his own twist of flavor of course. He has been making these remixes since 2012 and has been posting his work on Soundcloud. Heard of it? If not, then here's your chance to check it out.

If you're the kind of person who loves listening to pop songs, but can't really wait to listen to your next favorite for another second, then his work is cut out for you. If you also love listening to a beat you can dance to, then you better get on his website and check out his work! Still not impressed? Check out the video below to satisfy your curiosity and satiate your craving for flavorful music. This is his second Pop Love remix, the first being the one he produced in 2012.

Better yet, check out his website for more of his music. And get this, you can download them for free! Yes, for free. Because he is the kind of person to literally want to spread his love for music, he posts all his work on Soundcloud.com with a download link. You can check out his website here

Happy listening!
