So for today, I decided to write my first art review capsule :) I've decided to entitle them Art Filed to reflect the non-traditional form art has taken these days. With a few exceptions of course, me being a lover of traditional art :) (canvass style!)
If it's not obvious yet, this art capsule is a review of some photographs by renowned photographer Tyler Shields. He is known in Hollywood for being the eccentric photographer of the stars. Some of the celebrities he's worked with are Lindsay Lohan, Emma Roberts, and Josh Hutcherson. Judging by his portfolio, I'd say that Lindsay is a close friend of his and is his favorite subject.
I'm no photography buff but I'm quite certain his works are very unerringly striking. Striking in way that once you see them, they put you in a place of fear, discomfort, and just plain awkwardness. However, I think it is these traits of his photographs that bring in the authenticity of the emotions and thoughts portrayed in them. To me it just proves that he is one of those artists who are not afraid of breaking barriers in order to show people that art is not conformity. :)
Just to give you a sample, here are some of the shots he took. I love them because they're so sassy and I just love the red lips and the glitter haha. But I especially love the one with a Louboutin. It sends to me kind of an anti-commercialism propaganda. Either that or an extremist form of consumer addiction. :P
Here are two of the latest photos on his portfolio:)
But don't take my word for it, check out his entire portfolio here and be the judge for yourself.
I hope you enjoy browsing through his works and find them a refreshing take on the art of photography :)
Happy Weekend!

Art is a form of expressing emotion
Real art is a form of thought and ideology. :)
